The high level of interest for the 2020 Summit means that tickets may sell out quickly! The official summit will be held from 1-3 July 2020 (Arrival is on the 30th June and departure on the 4th July, 2020). We are able to only admit 1500 delegates due to logistical constraints and therefore we encourage all applicants to complete their registrations and proceed to confirm their participation as soon as possible.

We welcome registrations from organizations, individuals, institutions and corporate bodies. The general requirements are:

      • Youth between 18-35 years
      • Professionals/individuals 36 years and above are welcome to apply
      • People/organizations interested in the Sustainable Development Goals and AU Agenda 2063
      • You can register as an individual or as a group of at least 5 people. Group registration attracts a discount of 10% on the total registration fee. please email us at [email protected]

WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THE REGISTRATION PACKAGE?

    • Access to all summit facilities and all sessions
    • Delegates information pack
    • Tea/snack breaks for the summit days
    • Lunch for the summit days
    • Summit souvenirs (T-shirt, summit bag/folder, pen, name tag, notepad, SDG crest/badge.
    • Accommodation for international delegates who opted for it.
    • Daily bus shuttle services from designated hotels to summit venue.
    • Official certificate of attendance
    • Access to official photographs and videos on request.
    • Awards/cultural evening reception.

NB:

Delegates are responsible for their own accommodation, flights and dinner. The secretariat will provide list of discounted hotels and hostels for direct reservations. Daily bus shuttle services (morning and evening) will be provided during the summit days. For more information on accommodations, please check logistics or email us on [email protected].

Cancellation and replacement policy

      • If for any reason confirmed delegates cannot attend the summit, replacement is allowed. In such cases, substituted names can be submitted to the summit secretariat to effect any changes. Please email us at [email protected]
      • If substitution is not possible, delegate can request for up to 50% refund before 30th April, 2020.There will be no refund after 31st May, 2020.
    • The organizers will NOT bear any charges for any refund transfer.

Summit Cancellation Policy

In unlikely situation that the summit cannot be held or postponed due to circumstances beyond the control of the organizers, the summit organizers cannot be held liable by attendees for any costs or losses incurred.

Under such circumstances, the summit organizers reserve the right to either reimburse the attendees after administrative costs incurred for the organization of the summit or to retain the registration fees for a future summit.

Photo/Video Consent

By entering the event premises of the African Youth SDGs Summit, delegates give their full permission to be photographed or filmed by official photographers and videographers attending the African Youth SDGs Summit. Delegates consent to their images and videos being reproduced for subsequent use in the media, webcasts, internal and external promotional purposes, advertising and inclusion on websites and social media.

Delegates are also allowed to take photographs at African Youth SDGs Summit for their own personal, educational and/or advocacy purposes. The organizers will not be liable if delegates object to being photographed in these circumstances.
