The 4th African Youth SDGs Summit

NEW DATES: 1-3 December 2021.

Dear Members, Partners, and AYSDGs Network,

Following consultation and coordination with partners (Talent Youth Association, the United Nations Association of Ethiopia, The UN Resident Coordinator’s Office in Ethiopia, the United Nations Population Fund, the UN Economic Commission for Africa and IPPF Africa Regional Office), Youth Advocates Ghana (YAG) officially – announces the new dates of the 4th SDGs Youth Summit. It will be held in December 2021 instead of November. The host country of the Summit remains Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

Following agreement with partners, on the 17th of September, the 4th SDG Youth Summit will be held from 1 to 3 December. This will also allow the Secretariat Team to prepare further for the event to ensure an effective engagement of stakeholders and a large participation of young people across the continent.
The 4th Summit, under the theme “Youth Resilience in the Covid-19 era; Pathways to accelerate actions to achieve the SDGs”, will be the first time to be hosted outside of Accra, Ghana, since its successful inception in 2017. Due to the current world pandemic situation, the Summit event will be hybrid (virtual and physical).
